I just read an interesting article today about the world’s largest cheesecake. It was produced last month in Mexico and weighed 2 tons.  The cheesecake produced 20,000 slices and was even topped with strawberries.  Now that’s a big cheesecake! The 500 pound cheesecake that was produced in Chicago for Obama’s inauguaration didn’t even come close to matching it in size. Who would have thought that Mexico was the place to go for cheesecake?

I am trying to have celebrity cheesecake recipes submitted for the section on my website devoted to that. Currently I’m accumulating a preliminary list of celebrities I would like to contact. I’m keeping my fingers crossed in the hopes that I will eventually get responses to my requests. If any celebrities out there are interested, please get in touch with me!

I will take submissions from actors, authors, sports figures, radio/talk show hosts, etc. If you consider yourself a celebrity, I want to hear from you. Please tell me a little about yourself as well!

I know it has been a couple of days. There has been a lot going on and not a lot of time to deal with cheesecakes.  Sadly, a well known and well loved member of our community died recently and his funeral was today. It has been hard dealing with the impact of the loss to everyone in town.

We were supposed to have a couple inches of snow overnight but that turned out to be little to no accumulation to speak of. Of course we are in the middle of the winter season so unforunately bad weather is a part of life.

There are always more and more cheesecake recipes to look at and adapt for my web site.  My husband and I went out to dinner tonight and guess what I had for dessert? You guessed it…cheesecake! I guess it is time to get back to working on my web site and back to the world of cheesecakes.

Snowy Day

Snowy Day

We had a two hour delay today so I did some work on my web site
before I left for work. I was able to post one new recipe and I am still researching vegan cheesecake recipes. I have to admit that I know very little about vegan cooking but every day I learn a little more.

Another problem I dealt with before school this morning was something to do with my computer. A very helpful person at Sitesell talked me through the problem and I think I am up and running again. It’s very frustrating when there is something you can’t solve on your own. And let’s remember, I’m not exactly a computer guru!

Because of all the ice around the area, I spent a lot of my morning seeing students who had fallen on the way to school. I’m glad it is warming up and some of the ice is starting to melt.
Parent-Teacher conferences are tonight at school. I almost forgot about that! I guess I’ll have to put off doing more work until I am home from the conference.

We have had the past two days off because of weather..snow and ice. I am putting my time off to good use by working on my web site, in addition to shoveling the driveway.

I never realized how time consuming the topic of cheesecakes could be. It almost feels like my whole life revolves around cheesecake recipes now. Actually, the only thing about cheesecakes that I haven’t been giving time to is actually baking or making them.

I want to get some great pictures of some of my creations so I have to start devoting some time to that. I don’t think I would have too many complaints if I would bring a cheesecake or two to work!

Hello Fellow Cheesecake Lovers!

You are probably thinking, how much cheesecake news can there be for a cheesecake blog? Another question might be, how interesting and exciting can it be? I guess we will just have to see as time goes on if we can find anything that fits in this category.

I am very new to the world of blogging so you never know what you might find here. I would love some outrageous information to put on my blog. I also have a web site devoted to cheesecakes. Every day I learn something new in my journey toward building more information on the subject of cheesecakes.

Cheesecakes are probably the ultimate dessert. They are rich, decadent and make an impressive addition to any table. The interesting thing about cheesecakes is the fact that there are so many different types.

You can have baked or no bake varieties and almost any flavor imaginable. I actually think the sky is the limit when it comes to different recipes. In fact, I am on a mission to see if there really is an end to the range of cheesecake recipes available.
